GRWM: Date Night Essentials
Hi All!
I hope you’re getting through your week well!
Just last week, I did something I haven’t done in over a year— I went on a date. While the excitement and slight nerves built up, I thought often about what I wanted to wear, and how I wanted it to go. No- dates don’t have to be big deals, but I love an excuse to get ready and meet someone new.
The funny thing is, when I received my Date Night Essentials box from Influenster, I didn’t have a date in my calendar. Yet just a few days later, I had a real authentic excuse to use the amazing products I received.
I usually go for something very light on dates. Light foundation, some mascara, highlight and maybe a statement lip depending on where we’re headed. I went to the Black Vegan Festival with my date, so a natural look won! I decided to skip the foundation and stick the products in this box to get a full idea of how the products would truly work.
Naturally, I gravitate towards skin care and building my beauty from the inside out. For example, rather than get a foundation with lots of coverage, I work on getting my skin in its healthiest state before ever turning to make up. That’s the thing I loved about this box- it had more than just make up!
Instead of rambling on…let me just show you.
First, I started off by washing my face and moisturizing using the Laneige Cream Skin Toner + Moisturizer
My skin stayed unbeliably soft and held moisture all throughout the day! It created the perfect canvas for my natural date look.
I followed up with my BouRjois Mascara- which is actually fun to use. Wait till you get a load of this…
You use the first side of the mascara which is meant to lengthen, and then you twist the top, which actually switches to the voluminizing brush. Super cool.
After the mascara, I sprayed a little bit of the OGX CoConut miracle oil dry shampoo, moreso for the scent than for the cleaning properties. I had already washed and oiled my hair, and a light spray kept my hair nice and smelling fuh-reshhhhh.
After the night ended and i came home, I was pretty happy to test out the Clinique ‘take the day off’ make up remover. I was tired, so I needed something to get rid of all the make up still sitting on my face.
Here’s a look at the single cotton pad that removed the mascara from both lashes with the Clinique make up remover!
I must say, I was pleasantly surprised with the way everything turned out- the Essentials and the date! I’ve gained some true staples in my day-to-day regime for sure.
What are some date date night essentials for you?! I want to know!
xox,
