Over the past month or so, I've incorporated the Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream into my skin regime as my sole moisturizer. I began using it September, when the weather was still fairly warm (in and around 20 degrees Celsius). During that time, I found this moisturizer to be extremely effective, keeping my face moisturized and MATTE! Having oily skin can be a drag sometimes, especially when your moisturizer weighs on your face, creating an even more oily look that before. The Laneige Water Bank Gel was great at keeping my face looking naturally dewy (not sweaty) and I felt a sort of 'revival' of my skin as well.
Now that we're moving into late October, I'm finding this moisturizer to be less effective. Yesterday I noticed little dry patches on my skin, and while walking outside, I found that my skin felt tight and dry, almost as if I hadn't used any moisturizer at all. I felt as though I would need to keep reapplying this moisturizer to keep my skin healthily moisturized throughout my day.
I really liked how light the moisturizer felt, and it's scent wasn't overpowering at all. A little went a long way when it was working for my skin and it always absorbed quickly.
I find this moisturizer effective only in particular weather. I will use this moisturizer during summer or in warmer weather, but I don't see myself using the Water Bank Gel Cream as my permanent moisturizer, especially not for the next few months. Unfortunately, it just doesn't moisturize enough!
If you've tried using the Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream, what did you love/hate about it?
