Time After Time: How to Style a Minimalist Watch this Spring (GIVEAWAY)

The lovely folks at Jord allowed me to sift through and pick my very own watch from their variety of dainty women's watches. Obviously, I chose the ebony and sable watch from the cassia collection in a phenomenal sable shade.

I couldn't wait to style this new piece and figured that since our wrists will soon be free of mittens and bulky winter coats, why not show off a clean, minimalist watch?

I pulled together an ensemble that allowed me to completely slay this watch.

Here are just a few tips when styling your watch this Spring:

Let it Stand Out

Allow your watch to act as a statement piece all on its own. While bangles and bracelets are often used to dress the wrists, a watch as modern and as sleek as this ebony watch can pull your look together completely! Want to make it stand out even more? Engrave it with something sweet and now you've got a spectacular piece that's even more you- flawless.

I pieced this watch with more monochrome colours so that the entire look was congruent. As I stated earlier, I chose a black watch because it's easy to match with everything- and duh, it's classic! If you choose a more colourful watch or something that is a little harder to style because of colour, try letting it stand out on it's own instead of trying to match it with your clothing or with other pieces. Let it speak its peace!

Match the Style to Your Look

You want to make sure your entire look is streamline when it comes to styling your watch. A sports watch won't fit best with a formal look! I opted for this ebony and sable watch because it works for both casual and more semi-formal looks. The outfit I pulled together can double as office attire or maybe heading out to lunch. This way, your outfit isn't showcasing two completely different looks.

Have Fun with It

Spruce up your outfit with it! Instead of using it just as its function of telling time, treat it like a bracelet and accessorize the right way!
