National Women's Show: Toronto
Hi Lovelies!
As many of you know, there's nothing I love more than taking time out of my day and dedicating it to my girlfriends. There's something about female energy that makes me feel sooooo much better. For my avid EboniCurls readers out there- you may have heard that I was chosen as an official blogger for the National Women's Show: Toronto-- the ULTIMATE #GirlsDayOut. There's no way I could pass up the opportunity to attend a 3-day show specifically for women. I am STILL in awe at all the boss-ladies I found working there. I couldn't be more excited to share my experience with you!
Walking into the MTCC (Metro Toronto Convention Centre) was a dream. I was so excited to be surrounded by all different women who attended an event catered just to them. Feeling comfortable was so easy!
At the door, I was greeted with some great smiles and a tour-book so I could navigate my way through the show. They had show-zones for beauty, health and wellness, world of taste (food), travel and adventure, house, home and design and fashion and style. I didn't struggle finding my zones of interest at all.
While walking through the exhibit, I quickly noticed women from all other the venue wearing flower crowns on their heads. I was on the lookout, and finally found the vendor who had set up a DIY-flower crown station. For those of you who really know me- you know I'm always down for a DIY challenge.
While making the crown, a representative mentioned that they had thought of the idea of DIY crown-making at the show in order to spread awareness for ovarian cancer. I found it so beautiful, that a topic like this had some light shed on it. It's so easy to forget about these situations when you aren't in them. My heart was warmed at the fact that this support and awareness found its way at the women's show.
As the show continued, we found the most gorgeous display of bath bombs! I love me a good bath so of course we had to stop by for a whiff:
Not to mention, I ran into some amazing vendors with real products worth trying. No, seriously. I've been using these products since the show- I'm working on some reviews and possible collaborations for you lovely folks ;)
Check out my photo with Delila of Mooi Brand!
I had some tasty drinks at the Rubicon booth. For those of you who don't know- Rubicon is a Caribbean STAPLE!
I got to speak to the lovely ladies over at Kimika who may or may not have convinced me to try (or at least think) about waxing.
I also got the change to speak with the beautiful folks from
Ground Soap - whose soaps smell like H E A V E N.
Here's a quick little look at all the products I took away from the event:
Since I had so much fun, I HAD to create a highlight on IG so you all could enjoy it with me. If you want an up-close look at this year's National Women Show: Toronto- click here!
I had such a blast and I can't wait to go again next year. A H U G E thank you goes out to the National Women's Show team for giving me the opportunity to attend such a beautiful event. A big shout out goes to all of the female entrepreneurs with gorgeous businesses and such resilience tucked in their hearts. I know it's not easy! It was amazing getting to know each and everyone I met and I'm looking forward to seeing you all grow!
